The Platform
Three clear priorities for a stronger, more prosperous East Ridge.
01East Ridge is growing and I will endeavor to ensure that growth works for everyone. I will champion smart development, support local businesses, and work with the Mayor, City Manager and members of the City Council to attract new investment that creates jobs and expands our tax base without sacrificing the character of our community.
02East Ridge families deserve to feel safe in their homes and on their streets. As a member of the East Ridge City Council I will work to ensure that our police and fire departments are fully funded and continue to build stronger partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
03What makes East Ridge special is its people. We need to stay invested in the programs, events, and public spaces that bring neighbors together — from senior services to youth activities — because a connected community is a strong community.
Meet Marty
Kathy and I chose East Ridge — and we're not looking back. We are both lifelong residents of Hamilton County. I was raised in St Elmo, graduated Chattanooga High School and attended UTC. I have lived in what I refer to as four corners of the county. I love our entire county, but am now a devoted East Ridge resident. I have two daughters, my oldest who lives with her husband and one grandson in Hixson and my youngest who lives in East Ridge with her husband and five other grandchildren. Kathy and I have a vested interest in the success of East Ridge. I am a citizen of East Ridge first, and if elected, I will be the same as all of the voters/people I represent in East Ridge. If it's good for me it should be good for you and vice versa. That's the way a vote in government should work.
I believe East Ridge's best days are ahead. With a track record of supporting local businesses, backing our first responders, and bringing neighbors together, I have the experience and the heart to lead.
