About Marty
A Neighbor. A Leader. A Proven Servant.
Marty Von Schaaf chose East Ridge — and he's committed to making it the best it can be.
His Story
Invested in East Ridge. Working for Its Future.
Kathy and I chose East Ridge — and we're not looking back. We are both lifelong residents of Hamilton County. I was raised in St. Elmo, graduated from Chattanooga High School, and attended UTC. I have lived in what I refer to as four corners of the county. I love our entire county, but am now a devoted East Ridge resident.
I have two daughters, one who lives in Hixson with her husband and our grandson. The other lives in East Ridge with her husband and they have five of our grandchildren. Kathy and I have a vested interest in the success of East Ridge. I am a citizen of East Ridge first, and if elected, I will be the same as all of the voters and people I represent. If it's good for me, it should be good for you — and vice versa. That's the way a vote in government should work.
I currently serve on the East Ridge Industrial Development Board and was recently elected Vice Chairman. I believe East Ridge's best days are ahead. With a track record of supporting local businesses, backing our first responders, and bringing neighbors together, I have the experience and the heart to lead.
